1868 Pattern Cent Judd-605 in ANACS Proof-62 reverse

Inexpensive pattern cent which uses the obverse design from the three cent nickel combined with the reverse which was used on the flying eagle cent and three dollar gold piece. Both of these design elements were used extensively on patterns created for a variety of denominations in the 1860's. This coin is essentially untoned. The obverse has a bit of cameo contrast and decent mirror reflectivity. The reverse has slight haze, which keeps the grade down at the 62 level.
