Very nearly white, with just a hint of gold
toning. There is one tiny bit of toning on the reverse in the denticles,
probably as a result of a pinhole in the 2X2 that it was once stored in.
One of the scarce late date seated quarters with only 8000 business
strikes and 875 Proofs made that year. Think about it - all of the 1884
quarters ever minted - business strikes and Proofs - would fit easily in a
(heavy) briefcase! A well worn 1884 will cost in excess of $150. This
beauty was in a rather scuffy slab, so I had it re-holdered into a new
PCGS slab.
